Cells
Organelles
Smooth endoplasmic reticulum: Membrane surrounding the nucleus that isn't studded with ribosomes. Responsible for lipid metabolization and detoxification from lipid soluble drugs.
Golgi apparatus: Located between rough endoplasmic reticulum. Receives proteins for sorting, repackaging and modification. Also supplies the plasma membrane, and lysosomes.
-
Lysosomes: Membrane walled sacs filled with enzymes that are responsible for breakdown of biological material.

-
Cytoskeleton
Intermediate filament: A fibrous rope like structure that attaches different cells together by their desmosomes.
-
-
Endocytosis
-
-
Phagocytosis: A phagocyte that engulfs dead cells, cell debris, pathogens, or bacteria.
Cytoplasm
Cytoplasm: All the cellular material that lies internal to the plasma membrane, and external to the nucleus.
Cytosol: All of the jelly-like fluid within the cell that all of the other cytoplasmic elements are suspended.
