Wear safety glasses at all times, Wear appropriate clothing at all times, Be constantly aware of the surroundings, Keep from harms way, Check w/ instructors before starting engines, No horseplay allowed, Ask before using any shop equipment

What I Learned about the Shop
Not a lot of people in the boat repair business, The great thing that is the GX200 Engine, The concept of the engine is shared between a lot of engines (majority)

Nothing NEEDED, BUT RECOMMENDED to buy your own set of tools if staying in the shop :
