ensure confidentiality and anonymity of participants- (non-disclosure forms, controlling access to documents)

sponsorship issues
companies or sponsors have the right to non-disclosure for their own purposes ( prevent bias or keep new products a secret)
if participants ask for further details, researchers should refuse- risking the refusal to participate in the research.
if the sponsor asks for unethical behaviour or standards- educate the sponsor, explain the researcher's role of fact finding and how distorting the truth or breaking faith of participants lead to problems. if all else fails- terminate r/s with sponsor.
