Horace Quote Argumentative Essay
Do I agree with Horace
I think that it would depend on the type of person and how big the situation is
I agree because say you break a bone from not wearing a helmet, next time you would wear a helmet or say one of your loved ones pass away, you would learn that life is short and to make the most of it
I disagree because there are some people who don't learn from all of their mistake and they just bounce back and they make that mistake again and it is just a pattern
Horace's Quote and My Quote
Horace : Adversity has the effect of eliciting talents which in prosperous circumstances would have lain dormant
Me : Hardships have the effect of revealing skills which in successful situation would not have been found
Bad Emotional Experience:
Physical Experience:
My grandpa passed away
Moving a lot
Divorce in the family
Appendicitis
Cracked Skull
Swollen Lip
Pulled hamstring
Falling off my bike
Hurting Thumb
Mom might have not been born
Grandpa over-works
Grandma lives alone
Living far away from family
Great-grandma passed away
Good Emotional Experiences:
Getting Buster
Hosting JiHu
Having the best friends
Getting to go to a great school
Having an amazing family
Having a healthy life
Living my best life
Having a happy family
So is Horace right?
I think it depends on how you look at the situation, this question isn't one of those questions that have a right and wrong answer because it is purely opinionated
Personally I think looking at the big picture, Horace is right because you learn from your mistakes and sometimes others mistakes, you also learn from your own issues in life
From the other perspective
If you look at it the other way it makes sense too. Their are some people who don't learn from their mistakes and just learn from their successes. For example if they get a 100% on a test, they would have learned that that study strategy workes for them
In a car crash
Dad traveling a lot
Going on family cruises
