- there are factors that influence how one passes or reveals and to whom
- there is spillover of the perceptions that we give to audiences. eg. pass to a high status audience may result in low status people thinking the same thing about you

Closeness of relationship
- pass to those distant

- when its extreme more likely tot reveal (eg. sick family member) but pass on other things

Ideal Worker:
totally committed to the job, full time availability for it both online and physically, not distracted by personal commitments like family etc.
Expected Professional Identity - what is expected from the employer, basically the same as the ideal worker
Experienced Professional Identity - your own expectations and beliefs, can be in conflict with the ideal worker image
