Equal rights
Military
Over the years the inclusion rates for women serving in the military has increased, but there are still roles off limits to women. In the military all roles aren't open to both genders, roles like commander and lieutenant. Thankfully that changed in 2016 when Shaye L. Haver became the first female lieutenant and though she is qualified she is not allowed to join the elite fighting unit. Military women are not taken seriously and treated with the same amount of respect as military men. A 2011 report found that women in the U.S military were more likely to be raped by fellow soldiers then to be killed in combat. So why are women not allowed to serve in front lines when they have made significant military contributions? It have been said that women are to fragile, weak, and not cut out for "this kind of job'' based off our gender. If the military treated women and men equally then half the war would be over !

Police
In the past years what mattered in policing was physical attributes such as weight, height, and strength which gave women a disadvantage if they were looking to have a career as a police officer. Though Physical fitness is still an important aspect of policing what is more important is intelligence. The amount of female police officers has increased in the past decade but female officers are still faced with discrimination and sexual harassment on the job . More male officers move up a rank while female officers only go so far.

Students
As long as I can remember I was told I can be whatever I want, but when your that young you don't get taught that you have to work twice as hard as men to get the same recognition. In the past 10 years we have made none to low progress with equal rights and closing the wage gap. Women policy research analyzed the gender pay gap and discovered that it is mostly due to maternity leaves and participation but the rest of the pay gap can only be explained as inequality. This is an issue for female students because we wont get the same job opportunities as men. Raising women wages and increasing female participation in the work force will increase GDP and benefit the economy. In school if a girl beat a boy in a sport or race that boy would get teased by his friends. If a guy had a bad arm people would say he threw like a girl or hit like a girl. Being called a girl is seen as an insult because society sees us a weak and fragile. So we ask ourselves why. Why are not treated and valued like men and the answer is institutionalized misogyny. If you take a closer look sexism is in society. We are taught girls cant catch or throw and if we're pretty we're unintelligent. Everyone needs to realize being called a girl shouldn't be an insult because we are all capable!
Doctors
There are various career paths in the medical field, jobs like pharmacy technicians, surgeons, medical assistants, Physicians, and so on but the majority of these job titles belong to men. Not only is getting a job in the medical field as a women difficult but another issue is the salary you earn. Women physicians earn thousands of dollars less then what a male physician would make. Inequality exists in the medical field, Women are often left out of medical conversation and so are their insights and expertise. Dr. Yvette Canaba a Podiatric surgeon and Physician states that '' it is a belief that women are unable to withstand the pressures that one experiences in the operating room, We all go through the same schooling and training as our male counterparts yet we don't get the job based off our gender''.
Construction
Gender diversity in this particular industry is very poor since construction is a career path dominated by men. Its not that women are uninterested in taking a building career path the problem is this career path is uninviting to women. Most female construction workers experience sexual harassed by their peers on the job and get faced by stereotypes. There is still a long way to go in this industry but slowly we are making progress and history.
