coast defences does not last forever and also it costs a lot of money to make it and fix it. And when the defence break down in to pieces, we need to clean up wood, rocks and cements from the sea to be safe. And that is also very expensive.
Head land and a bay are found in old Harry in Swanage bay. Headlands are strong, so they do not get eroded by waves. However, bays are usually made of sand, It is soft, so it is easy to be eroded
