Measure diameter with cubes, measure circumference with links Mrs. Myers' Class measuring the Earth
- pre-cut yarn to fit diameters of larger rocks, then place rocks and yarn pieces at center. Students match the correct yarn piece to each rock, then measure the yarn with cubes, and record the length on a recording sheet.
- once everyone has completed the above activity, remove the pre-cut yarn, and allow students to cut their own yarn to match each rock (change rocks?)
