Why Foster a Mindset?
Individuals with a Growth Mindset believe they can develop their intelligence over time. That intelligence is not simply just a inborn trait. That It takes effort and determination to achieve what is success. Setbacks and failures are not just that. That we come across these as learning obstacles and lessons for whats next. As for Fixed Mindset is quite the opposite. Intelligence is either there or it is not. You can not gain what you do not have. A Fixed Mindset above all else wants to look smart, will go on by doing so by; avoiding challenges, ignores the advise from others, giving up easy, lying and or cheating.

Emphasize Challenge, Not "Success"
Focusing on the obstacles instead of the results yields more fruitful. Teachers that presented challenges as fun or exciting prepared students and ultimately got them excited about challenging work ahead. When mastered not to praise such but to appropriate and move to the next.
Grade of Growth
"Yet". There will be no more "no" or "I don't know" or "I don't like" only "Yet" It is our view on the subject that has to change. Making it from an impossible "I cant" or "won't or "don't know how " to "Yet"
Long-Term Success
Meaningful work is the foundation to life long success. meaningful work can be brewed in classrooms were teachers praise the learning process over the students abilities. Students that are nurtured in the joys of a challenge rather then tested by their strength are more likely to build the tools they need for Long-term success.
