.
.
In Boy of the Painted Cave it is a taboo to have a wolf dog however, Tao was hunting in secrecy with a wolf he named the wolf ram and if his tribe saw him he would be left out to die or they would kill him themselves so he must not let them find out.
In Boy of the painted cave its says that it is taboo to go into the slough because of the Evil Spirits.
It is taboo to paint in the all of the clans yet Tao loves painting and he will not stop because he is creative and wants to paint the great beasts that walked the earth and become a cave painter like graybeard.
Wolf Dogs
Wolf Dogs are also taboo because they are considered Evil Spirits in Tao's clan because when volt was young he was attacked by a hyena but someone told him it was a wolf dog so now they were taboo to have a wolf dog.

Dogs
This happens over countless generations. It may take thousands of years, but eventually the tamed animals can become so different from their wild ancestors that they turn into a new species. In this case of wolves, their domestication produced dogs.
The Neolithic
The Neolithic, or New Stone Age, began around 8000 B.C. It lasted until around 3000 B.C., when writing was invented. Villages and farms began by the end of this period.
Early humans houses
"The Cro-Magnons were one of the earliest humans. They lived in Europe, after the Neanderthals. Some lived in caves. Others built huts in forested areas. Long stone houses were also used for communities of 30 to 100 people."
