Ex. Draw conclusions such as characters based on dialogue and actions
Ex. Draw conclusions based on different perspectives
Creation-
theory, goes beyond info
Ex. Explore activity and then have students come up with theory or phenomenon (can happen in Science)
Evaluation-
ability to judge or critique
Ex. Who is correct based on the claim?

What :question:
Teaching communication improves relationships, social health, and graduation rates. Employees look for communication skills. Includes: reading, writing, presenting, debating. Not only verbal.
Gut :<3:
Communication also includes active listening and reflection. Peer review is useful for large classrooms. Modeling communication and reflection is important--don't expect them to have these skills already.
So What :!:
Competency in communication is crucial for competency in the other three C's. Creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration can't happen without communication.
Collaboration :silhouettes:
Gut :<3: We don't really teach collaboration in our classes ,
So What :!: We need to explicitly teach students interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and task management skills. Give students feedback on their collaborative skills from teacher and peers. Collaboration requires students to come to a consensus as a group.
What :question: collaboration needs to be taught, conflict resolution is an important part of collaboration, important to have small mixed ability groups

What: need for flexible thinking & novel solutions
Gut: creative individuals may enjoy higher academic achievement
So What: creativity can be taught & assessed
