5 Themes of Geography
Movement
Definition: Movement is when people, ideas, and goods proceed to other locations. You can use the words to trace back how goods, people, and ideas have been spread around the world
Example: Thomas Edison created the invention of the light bulb. It sparked tons of other ideas and soon light bulbs where found in many places across America. Other countries caught on to our idea and soon they had had light bulbs to.

Place
Definition: Place recognizes features that make one location different from other locations. These features include geography, language, plants, animals, etc..
Example: One place that really stands out from the others is Antarctica. Its is covered in snow and little to no humans live there. It is the home to Penguins and Polar bears that aren't spotted around countries like America or China.

Interaction
Definition : The interaction branch focuses mainly on the interaction that happens between humans and the environment. Humans create and take part in things that effect the environment. Sometimes, the environment effects us humans.
Examples: One way the environment effects humans is through storms. For instance, hurricane Maria put people in Puerto Rico into poverty and devastation. One way people have effected the environment is through pollution. Cars that run on gas put harmful gasses in the air which pollutes it and sometimes pollution like that causes acid rain.

Locations
Absolute Definition: Location is where something is located. An absolute location gives you the exact place of what you are trying to locate. So, things such as addresses or Longitude and Latitude coordinates tell you exactly where something is located.
Absolute Example: You may be presented with a location such as 27.6648° N, 81.5158° W, which is the coordinate of Florida. These types of location directions bring you to exactly the right place.

Relative Definition: Location is where something is locates. Relative location is when people tell you about the things near/around the place/item/person you are trying to locate.
Relative Example: If you are trying to use Relative Location to direct somebody to a place such as Sweet Claude's, you can tell them it is near McDonald's and Big Y.
