5 Themes of Geography
Place
The definition for place that I came up with was, human and natural characteristics that can help make one place different from the other
Also, when you think of Hawaii, a thought that you might come up with is volcanoes. A volcano is a type of land form. You could also think of plant and animal life. These are all characteristics of a place.
For example, different places have different kinds of land forms and features. This helps with recognizing where you are.
-
Regions
A definition for regions could be a place/area that has individual kind of characteristics and land forms. This can be a little related to place.
Another way to tell a region is by its climate. For example, if its really cold there all the time then, you can infer that your in a naturally cold area.
Regions can be defined in many different ways. Another one includes the culture and people around. If you are around people that speak a different language then you could infer that you are in a different area or place.
-
Interaction
A definition for interaction is change. To be more clear, everything around you can change. You can change. Other people can change. Everything can change. Also, interaction can just mean people or the environment interacting with us.
For example, in the word interaction, there is action. Action is what you do and how you act. This is a big part of interaction. Everything we do to the environment affects us and people around us.

Location
-
For example, if you live down a street and your friend is coming over, you would tell them your address and then your friend would know where to find you. This is called an absolute location.
Another way to find a location is using latitude and longitude. As an example you could say that you live 63 degrees west and 101 degrees north.
Another quick definition for location could be if you live right next to something. For example, if you live next to Walmart you could tell someone that you live right next to Walmart on the left. This is called a relative location.

Movement
As said in the article World Cultures movement can also be known as trading. For example, trade means the movement of objects and/or goods.
Trade can also mean ideas. For example ideas can occur with any kind of traded objects or actual movement itself. Also, ideas can be shared around the world
When you think of movement, you may think of the movement of your feet. The definition I thought of for movement was moving from one place to another.
