5 Themes of Geography
Interaction
Interaction is what people do to the environment around them and how they effect it.Also, it is how they adapt to the land around them.
Another example of how we interact with the environment is how we cut trees down and use it for paper. This is bad for our environment because we are taking away animals habitats.
An example is the cause and effect of cars, we had an advancement with transportation awhile ago and got cars which was good. But the smoke they produced polluted our environment and hurt some parts of our environment like the waters.
Also, interaction to the environment can be how we adapt to the things around us and what we do to the land around us. And interaction can be how the environment affects us. Like if their is a really bad tornado about to affect a place the environment could make you go to your basement or drive away.

Place
-
Every place also has their own type of physical (natural) features that make it theirs. These go into the category of their soil, climate, landforms, and animal life.
Each place has there very own type of human characteristics. These can be their transportation, language, religion, activities, and just how they live their life.
An example of physical features (Natural) would be like Mount. Everest. This is because of how it is easily recognizable because of its size and what it looks like.
-
Movement
Movement is people, ideas, and goods moving from one place to another.
A movement of goods would be trades. This would be like in the olden days people giving someone an item exchange for another item. This could also relate to now if a store orders a item in exchange they give the person selling the item money.
An example of the movement of people is people moving from one house to another maybe because of a problem at that house or a new job.
An example of exchange of ideas or ideas spreading is someone telling someone a fact or belief and those people can pass that information on. And people could also spread these ideas on paper. But nowadays we find out quicker and easier with the internet.
-
Region
-
Cultural, political, and economic features can also help in defining a region.
An example of region with physical features is a desert and the features that define this is its very dry land and hot climate.
-
Also, in a region you can share certain things with other parts of the region like climate.
Location
-
A location can be very precise to where you are like using latitude and longitude which gives you your absolute location.
Another example is a less exact (relative) location which would be like "I am in the store that's in between Marshall's and the nail salon".
