Extreme displays of negative emotions have negative consequences

Involes empathy which is thoughtfully considering others feelings along with additional factors when making decisions
Involes SOCIAL SKILL which is the culmination of other dimensions of emotional intellgence. A core part of being a manager is managing relationships including being friendly but with a purpose
Can emotional intelligence be learned?
Genetics also play a role as emotional intelligence is a product of the limbic system
Nuture plays a significant role as it increases with age and requires sincere desire and dedication from the learner

Emotional Intelligence refers to competencies related to one's ability to recognise, understand and manage their own emotions as well as those of others they interact with.
