Primary
Goal: Pt will have decreased cardiac demands as evidenced by normal blood pressure, heart rate, and rhythm.
Evaluation: Unable to evaluate as this was based on a case study. However, I would evaluate this infant based on her vital signs staying within normal limits, and maintaining a normal heart rhythm. Based on the fact that at the end of the case study the infant is going home I would say she was successful enough to be discharged, but she still does need corrective surgery.
Secondary
Goal: Pt will demonstrate the ability to feed without complication, or less complications by d/c.
Evaluation: Unable to evaluate as this was based on a case study. However, I would assess the infants feeding duration, the amount the infant ate, the number of wet diapers, and respiratory status as an indicator of how the infant is improving.
