Compared three versions of CBT for depression
The same therapist provided all treatments and were strongly in favour of full cognitive approach
1) Full CBT treatment (BA, CR, CR of core beliefs)
2) Only used behavioural components of CBT (activity scheduling, pleasure ratings, graded tasks)
3) Behavioural components pluc CR of NAT's
Results: All treatments produced similar outcomes and similar changes on measures of negative cognitions. No significant differences in the prevention relapse across 2 year follow up (Gartner et al, 1998)
