Battle of Saratoga

This was a decisive American victory, considered the climax of the revolutionary war. It was the turning point, after this, the patriots won most of the battles.
End of the 7-year War
Taxes were imposed on colonists in order to pay for the monetary loss sustained by Great Britain during the 7-years war.
In addition, tension between the natives and the colonists still remained, which is why the British army needed to remain in the colonies. In order to accommodate for their food and shelter, the Quartering Act was passed, much to the colonists' chagrin.
Boston Massacre
A large mob was throwing ice and other things at British soldiers, so they fired on the crowd, killing five people.
This built a lot of resentment in the hearts of the colonists, and was one of the first acts of violence in the colonies between the British army and the colonists.
Yorktown

This was where Cornwallis surrendered and the British army was recalled to Great Britain, because the king realized that fighting was futile.

This was instated after the French and Indian War, and it declared that the Appalachian Mountains were the western boundary for expansion.
The colonists were infuriated, because after years spent fighting for expansion, there was a limit being placed on the area of their colonies.
