Job Objectives
Assist the Management Team in strategic planning, formulation and implementation of business plans and objectives where required.
Financial
Cost Mgmt

To oversee the day to day running of the school. To ensure that the organisation is procuring all the necessary resources (teaching, accommodation, transport, leisure etc.) at an optimal price and that all department managers are utilising such resources to provide the client with a high quality service.
Revenue

Student Satisfaction
Ensure that clients are provided with an overall quality service, where expectations are not only met but where and when possible exceeded.
To review client feedback on a monthly basis. To ensure that they are in line with quality objectives, and if they are not ensure that remedial action is taken in a timely manner.
Business Development

New products for market
To assist the Director of Studies in designing/modifying academic programmes to meet clients’ needs.
Agent Relationships
Ensure that sales efforts are continuously directed at maintaining good relations with existing clients/agents and building relationships with potential clients/agents.
Co-ordinate the preparation of financial budgets and other ad hoc reports of a financial nature in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.

Monitor financial structures which facilitate reporting (internally and externally) and decision making.

To review overall performance at regional meetings on a monthly basis. To analyse any negative trends in operations, quality or finance and select effective courses of action to remedy the situation. To implement such courses of action and monitor their effectiveness on a regular basis.

Ensure that prevailing quality standards (Languages Canada & [State?] Ministry) are achieved and maintained at all times.

To perform effectively within a team environment and to foster a sense of teamwork among colleagues and staff.

Hiring
To co-ordinate the recruitment process with the Director of Studies and Student Services Manager and ensure that the interview and selection process is handled in a professional manner guaranteeing that the School is employing the best possible employees.

Appraisals
To appraise all managers directly reporting to him/her in accordance with policy and to ensure that all members of staff are appraised in a similar fashion.
Communications
To ensure that communication channels are available to all members of staff in order that employees can be kept up to date with company information, operational issues, etc.
Finance

Bigger Wigs
To assist in the compilation of quarterly management accounts for the Executive Committee. To present and discuss, when necessary, the company’s financial performance with the directors at board meetings and implement any courses of action they may decide on.
To oversee preparation of any other financial reports that may be required by the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors, public bodies, lending institutions and any other related third parties.
