The more volunteers/interns they get the more schools they are able to implement the program in. This will then help more 3rd graders across Arizona improve their reading scores. This program is proven to be effective, but the more volunteers it has the bigger it can grow and expand so that all the 3rd graders in Arizona can eventually have better reading and comprehension test results. Also come up with am incentive for the 8th graders that complete and come weekly to the program continuously.
Incentive Program: For schools: shadow ASU students for the day and tour the ASU facilities. End with a pizza party. Pizza will be sponsored and will be held in one of the rooms rented out at ASU.
For the Boys and Girls Clubs because the students go to various schools they will be given tickets and a meal voucher to one sporting event.
We will start by possibly posting flyers just to let people know about the organization. We will also ask to speak in several USL classes about the opportunity around the ASU campus.

The literacy problem in Arizona is something that is of major concern. This program has developed a curriculum to help 3rd graders improve their reading and comprehension scores. This program is continuously growing, but it needs more assistance and support from ASU. This is a program that many students do not know about and if they did, they would probably want to be apart of it.
It is important to have an incentive for the 8th graders so that they continue to come. The program does not run without them so their attendance is essential. They have to be given something for their services and a T-shirt is not enough to keep them motivated to come.
Over the course of this entire school (2018-2019) I hope to have implemented a club within ASU to bring awareness about the organization to help them spread.
At the end of the semester is when the pizza party will be held. The sporting event tickets will be for a weekend game, possibly the Arizona Cardinals or the Phoenix Suns.
