Road to Revolution
The Intolerable Acts
Boston Port Act : the ports of Boston would only reopen when the tea debt was paid and the colonists showed proper respect. The act was a direct punishment to the Boston Tea Party.
Quartering Act of 1774 : Expanded on the existing Quartering Act of 1765 where soldiers could stay in homes, hotels, and such since they were needed to protect colonist against the Huron attacks.
Quebec Act : Expanded British-Canadian territory south of the Ohio Valley, while making it Catholic.
Administration of Justice Act : Any British soldier that has been accused of a crime will be put on trial in Britain.
Massachusetts Government Act : took power away from the colonists and gave more to the governor, appointed by Britain.

Boston Tea Party
Ports are closed as the Sons of Liberty dumped approximately 1 million dollars of tea into the ocean, therefore leaving colonist in debt with no options to recover
This event further increased the tensions and resentment between the British and colonist as now it is nearly impossible to pay back the British with no option to trade.

Battle of Saratoga
Finally the turning point in the American Revolution in which Americans could potentially win the war against the British, who debatably had the best army and naval force in the world. This also allowed the French to consider aiding the colonist in their efforts to win against the British, as they are a common enemy now.

Boston Massacre
As a highly notorious event in the colonies, this further enraged the colonist as the portrayal of the event, by Paul Revere, showed a one sided fight where the British seemingly fired and murdered innocent colonist.
