Preoperative care
Fluids are encouraged to promote increased excretion of waste products unless contraindicated due to preexisting renal/cardiac dysfunction

Perioperative care
Renal surgery requires various positions to expose the incision site adequately. During surgery plans are carried out to for maintaining altered drainage(nephrostomy)
Postoperative care
Treat blood loss immediately. Insert a naso- gastric tube to allow for abdominal distention through decompression
