supporting developing countries
getting fresh clean water
usually water is very far away so people have ton walk very far to get it. this means they use up alot of energy and it is a waste of time. iot also stops people from working and making more money so that they can live
there are no pipelines or water networks to get water to the peoples hometowns. so there is no running water. this means it is much harder to use the water e.g. harder to shower, also means it is harder to get rid of waste from toilet.
water usually carries a lot of diseases and is not sanitary. this means it is very unhealthy and causes lots of deaths this also means vaccine es and other medication is less effective causing the spread of disease
no hot water meaning there is no heating to the homes. this means people can get cold. it also means you get cold showers etc. this is not very heal;thy sand means people get cold
toilets are not very affective and therefore helps the spreadof disease. there is no clean water so it is hard to clean and the cause of no running water meaqns it is hard to get rid of the waste
alot of water isnt stored properly which could mean it could get infected or becomes unsafe to drink. it is also hard to carry alot of water back from a long journey
getting education
alot of schools are far away so it is quite hard to reach them and also waste alot of valuable time when people could be working and making money
people who dont get an education would find it hard to get a job and hard to read and write so they could not get much money
people who dont get an education would not know the heaslth risks that they can face. also would not know aboud sex ed and how to keep safe.
getting electricity
dont have any power in remote places such as villages
cant power much such as ovens, hot water, and any electrical appliances. this means they need to use an open log fire which takes a while or can be dangerous.
they dont have heating so need to be heated with fire
all require people to find fuel and means they take alot of time
this meansw they dont have much lighting so have to find fuel to light up houses with mostly fire
it also means it is hard to move the water around
some electricity is not clean or not efficient and can be very expensive. in some places there is no power or it is very unreliable
transportation
many people in developed countries dont have cars or many forms of transportation meaning it is hard to move out of their remote areas. this can cause problems
due to poor transportation farmers and other small businesses cant sell there produce to the market so there is no income into the small villages. it also means they cant benefit from buying useful produce from other places.
aid cannot easily come by as it would be hard to get to the remote areas as they dont need to build structures such as roads as they do not have cars or do not trade, this leads to aid being limited and leading to slower development
poor transportation also means that it is hard to get to vital places such as hospitals and schools. this means that the people in small villages are cut off from needed places.
poor roads also means that driving can be very dangerous making it hard to travel to places.
some vehicles arent efficent and can cause alot of pollution in the air. this can affect the public walking arounf making them live for a shorter time as they can die from pollution related diseases such as lung cancer
below the povetrty line/economy
transportation isn't as good so it is hard to get produce to market. this leads to no money coming into the communities so they cannot afford to build roads and other infrastructure needed for trading
as they cannot trade there is no income meaning they dont gwet any money. this can mean they are very isolated and mean they are cut off from the rest of the world
it is quite hard to get an education as schools are very sparce leading to some people having no qualifications. this can lead to not having a great job and not getting much money
poor health
there are not many hospitals or doctors so people have to travel miles to get proper treatment for their illnesses or their injuries. this can mean if you do have a disease you are left to your own devices and means that alot of people infortunatley die
poor sanitation increases the risk of disease as human waste is not treated properly causing spread of bacteria and diseases. also there are no stores to buy things for sanitation such as soap and towels.
this is due to not having the knowledge or the items to help be clean as some people arent taught the risk of being clean and also they do not have the tools such as taps, clean water, showers, soap and other essentials
disease travels veru quickly in many develping countries as most of them are situated in hot areas near the equator where alot of disease are and insects are. one of the boggest causes of diseases are insects in developing countries and alot of the countries do not have the equipment needed to combat this
farming
no running water meaning it is hard to irrigate crops cvauing time to be wasted. also some wtaer could be contaminated and could carry diseases that affect the plants and may destroy the crops
not as developed as they do not have tractors(or efficient ones) or many other motrized vehicles makin farming much hjarder and more time consuming. alsommaking it less efficient. this creates alot of work for the people living in the towns/ villages
soil is usually togugh asn there is not much rainfall so crops fail. t is also hard to work the ground to get the crops going. the sun also evapourate s alot of the water so crops have to be very selective
climate/natural disasters
a lot of developing countries have many natural disasters or dont live in a good climate. this means that alot of the infastructure is ruined or destroyed meaning it is very hard to develop quickly or at all
the harsh climate means it is very hard to live as doing work in the heat can be very tiring and also many crops die due to the hot climates. this means that people do not get enough sufficient food and also means that it is hard to work
the harsh climate also means alot of people arent attracted to the areas meaning there is not much demand to develop the places even after floods. this means it is harder for places to develop and make more money
iin some places it doesnt rain much meaning people have to travel miles just to get some water. this is bad and also means irrigation for crops is bad
alot of diseases can thrive in hot climates. this is bad as this means spread of disease is increased. therefore less people can work sufficiently and also means the death toll is higher
