Cycle management of PSS-Success of PSS innovations
Managing Cycles in teams & networks (A8)
Model of Management of Cycles of Teams & Complex Networks
Team Emergent States component
: Dynamic properties of teams that are related to the team processes
Team Processes component
Cycles of adaptation
Standardization of cyclical processes
Process of anticipation, through cog. representations of cycles
Empirical studies (qualitative & quantitative) for the development of the model & its preliminary validation
Integration of technical & socio-technical aspects by cooperating with other sub-projects within SFB 768
Effective management of cycles enhances the innovation of teams & complex networks
Validated Theoretical Model of Psychological Factors
which explain the success of PSS innovation & provides leverage points for the design of organizational development
Further cooperation with other sub-projects for the integration of technical & socio-technical aspects
Development of psychological theories & conduct of empirical studies, using multi-level approaches & longitudinal designs
Application & evaluation of one field intervention
Diagnostic instruments
Evidence-based prediction of consequences (i.e. innovation, productivity) of the management of cycles, based on Model of Management of cycles
Intervention approaches, inc. measuring criteria
How do teams manage to successfully adapt to a complex and changing environment without losing their functional effectiveness?
Approaches:
Focusing on the cyclical team processes, which occur when a team is adapting to changing environments
The awareness – on the part of the people involved in the innovation process – about the cyclical nature of events and processes, in terms of recurring and therefore predictable instances.
Based on empirical research a psychological model of effective management of cycles in teams will be developed and empirically tested.
Inconsistency management (D1)
Knowledge based system for managing inconsistencies
Processing the modeled knowledge through processing mechanisms
Deposit of knowledge in a knowledge base
Identification of inconsistencies
Formulation of semantic dependencies through semantic mediation of domain specific models
Formulation of inconsistencies as a graph pattern for the identification of inconsistencies using the SPARQL & RDF
Focus of subproject D1
Processing mechanism
: diagnosis (identification, classification, exploration) & resolution of inconsistencies
Support methodology
: recommended actions, draft guidelines, visualization concept
Representational formalism
: cross domain & domain specific deposit of modeled knowledge
