some of the long-term effect that this had is that now spices and crops is a huge part of our lives today. if it weren't for the Columbian Exchange, the daily foods that we consume will not have been here now. some of these foods are like pizza, chips, curry, stew any foods containing spices and crops. the Columbian Exchange are the ones that provided them. some other long-term effects that happened were that the nutrient levels in the food increased the population in Europe, and fewer people starved, unlike previous years when they didn't have any nutritious food. a negative impact that happened long term is that tobacco, is one of the goods that came from America, is now used commonly in Cigarettes. they have developed over time, however, it still contains the ingredient of Tabocca, and if it weren't for the Columbian exchange, there wouldn't be any cigarettes made for the modern era.
