1. Explain you’re calling to speak about the start of the discipline program...
Speak with them to find out…
Where they are in themselves
How they are doing
How are things are overall in their life situation
If everything is ok and they’re ready to start this week.
We’re starting the discipline program this week so I wanted to see how you are and how you’re feeling about getting going.
1.Hi - As per my text I wanted to call you and connect again as well as discuss the start to the discipline program
If you’d like to start the next week that’s fine
2. Let them know there’s no specific time / date for the start of the program...
REMEMBER I am here if you need or want any help or have any questions.
There will be some guidance with what you receive too
There’s a natural flow to this so you’ll receive material as it comes - no specific time or date
You’ll start to receive information and questions to answer over the next couple of days.
3. Set expectations for and give context to the Prelim questions...
The questions are important preparation for you to
A) Make realisations about yourself
B) Remember WHY you got involved with this
They’re designed to help take your understanding to a new mind blowing level
There’s no right or wrong answers
These are prelim questions purely for you to start and get an understanding of...
What’s coming in the program
AND where you are in relation to what’s coming up in the program
They are designed to achieve certain things
Help you realise more what you DO know
What you DON’T know in line with that
AND more importantly - What you DON’T KNOW, YOU DON’T KNOW
The questions I’ll be sending are NOT an exam - not even an assessment.
4. Explain why the questions are important to help us with the bespoke elements of the program
These realisations are important for two reasons
A) For YOU to know this and really appreciate your learning curve
B) For US to understand you as a UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL
On the bespoke side they enable us to know
Where we need to help you
What may be missing and what isn’t
They help guide us on the collective AND the individual side
There are certain things we can’t do as a group because of each person’s UNIQUE nature and situation.
e.g There may be some things that are very specific or private to you we need to work on individually
There are things we can do as a group and certain things you will need to do on your own.
5. Explain it’s NOT compulsory but we need to respect this process as sacred ground
BUT THESE ARE NOT COMPULSORY.
They just open us up to how we get you ‘there’.
It is important you follow through and pass these on to me/us so we can understand where you are.
We hate to think we never got you there because there was something we were blindsided by.
This work on your personal development is SACRED GROUND
We want you to know how much we RESPECT it.
We ask YOU TO RESPECT it also.
To be kind, caring, patient and nurturing to yourself.
This doesn’t extend to NOT following through on commitments - that’s not loving.
What it DOES mean is TO BE KIND TO YOURSELF WHEN YOU GET IT WRONG
We certainly will be.
Often we find that..
a) People’s expectations of themselves are WAY TOO HIGH TOO SOON
b) They get scared, even terrified, of finding areas that need work and feel less than
6. Empathise and explain how to treat finding their gaps and weak spots
These questions are designed to help you understand there’s no need to feel less than
The weakest thing you can ever do is find a weakness and run away from it
We have simply inherited our gaps/weaknesses from our past; a parent, friend, school, society or teacher
When finding these things it’s important the adult in you can stand up and take responsibility of your inner child’s needs
Prevent the inner child from running away
7. Explain how important the way we face our problems is
THIS IS IMPORTANT STUFF
It’s the difference between
building something in your life and making it happen on purpose or...
spending your life wondering what could have been - making excuses for it
Ultimately it’s important everyone here, at LIG and everyone involved, brings OUR BEST selves here.
If we present our worst selves - especially where there’s areas of pain and suffering, things we’ve run away from all our lives -
A) There’s NO BREAKTHROUGH. No victory over self.
B) We can’t become the Captains of our Soul.
8. Explain that questioning and understanding will be an ongoing essential part of the program...
This set of questions are NOT a one off.
Questions will be coming ALL the way through the entire process
The whole nature of the program is asking questions. E.g.
Where are you with this thing’?
Where are you in your understanding?’
9. Explain how and why we will be constantly measuring and tracking their progress.
This is so we can measure…
Where you WERE in your knowledge BEFORE
Where you ARE in your knowledge NOW - relating to any area
And your practicing levels;
• How much have you practiced this before
• How much are you practicing now - and how sporadic is this, and why - etc.
This is all in order to gain the understanding of how our knowledge and our performance and how these things come together, ie:
Our follow through, application and the skill inherent in the use of it
What we’re working on within this is.
The development of discipline within the area of our CHARACTER
Our use of discipline within the area of our COMPETENCY
We will be understanding what character and competency are and how limited we are in our understanding
What we KNOW doesn’t equal what we ARE in any one area.
10. REINFORCE why effectiveness always comes before efficiency...
The questions will be coming out soon - over the course of this week
We are VERY WARY about putting out dates and times, based on our 15 yrs research...
Dates and times are fine AS A GUIDE, but this is about human development
Effectiveness first. Efficiency second.
Dates and times should NEVER come before humans and their growth
Sometimes you need to give something more time - e.g. like in cooking.
We can’t just give people a recipe book and expect them to succeed
We need to be flexible in our approach - there’s that much CARE involved here
11. Make an impact as to what they have invested in here and how that differs from any other program...
For us you haven’t just invested in some program that we deliver and now we’re clear
Our aims aren’t just to honourably deliver something we said we’d deliver
That’s exactly where everyone else is in this industry.
You’ve not invested in a program - THAT’S SECONDARY
PRIMARILY you’ve invested in a life of caring, intimate, powerful discipline with SELF AND OTHERS
That’s what you’ve invested in.
Not the program - that is just a means to an end.
It’s secondary investment
The primary investment to us is that you’re not ONLY:
disciplined and enjoying the process
LOVING the process
able to help others…
It’s that you BECOME A LEADER through that!
You can lead yourself to achieve your expectations through your life - BHMS
That you actually ARE disciplined and able to achieve things
That the only time YOU DON’T achieve it is because YOU CHOOSE not to.
Not because the world beat you up or because you didn’t have the discipline, self leadership, guidance and self love.
