Class Interests
My favorite classes in High school were AP Psychology and AP Chemistry
Really enjoy taking science/math courses
I also enjoy studying French language and culture. In high school I did a mini study abroad trip with my school and really connected with my host family/had a great experience
Academic Interests
I am very interested in Health Care, weather it is from the sciences perspective of physically providing health care to people or the more humanities perspective of global health. I find both topics really interesting.
I am considering pre-med right now. However, I enjoy the flexibility that HOD gives me, as it seems to be a major that I can do many things with, if I choose to continue with or if i decide that becoming a doctor is not my calling.
I really enjoy learning about health care in different countries and analyzing the efficacy of different health care systems.
My best learning/studying techniques
Learning inside the classroom
I believe that I learn best through engaging and though provoking discussions and debates.
I struggle to learn when the classroom discussion is not engaging and when the teacher is talking to the students, rather than talking with the students.
Learning outside the classroom
I have found that I learn best when I teach what i am learning to another person. I think that this is the best way to prepare for a test because it shows true, fully comprehension.
I also learn best when I apply thing things that I am learning to different situations or scenarios. I like application based learning much more than simply memorizing new facts.
I am for sure not the type of person that learns best under any type of time pressure. I like being ahead and I am not a procrastinator.
