Religion : this is a belief system that helps one get a better understanding of their god/gods/no god, so they may form a better relationship w/ their god/gods/no god
Pantheism
the belief that god and nature are one, example is hinduism
Deism
through reason alone, the logical conclusion is a god exists, but this 'god' cannot intervene with his creation
Agnosticism
belief that the existence of god / non existence of god cannot be proven because there is not enough information (evidence)

How it came to be?
Second Creation Story: this is the story, in which God makes man from dust off the ground and is constantly trying to make him happy. Eventually man excepts the "women" created from the mans rib
What does the Second Creation Story show us? - God is willing to do whatever he can to make us happy and we need to realize he is doing all of this for us
The Fall: God calls for man and there is no answer, eventually man says he was worried he would see him naked. God says you ate from the forbidden tree and know he has knowledge. Man says YOU PUT her here with me and she gave me the fruit.

First Creation Story: The story in which god made the world in six days, man being made on the last and he rests on the seventh
What is the Kingdom of God - The union w/ God and creation, but because we sin, we damage the union w/ God and Creation. Sin damages our relationship w/ God, but God's desire for us is unchanging even when we change our desire for God. When we place pride before God, we reject the kingdom.
Scripture
Form Criticism - the process used to find out how the Gospel writers revealed their messages, examples: parables, psalms, and other literary forms.
Redaction Criticism - the process to help discover how and why the Gospel writers arranged their works the way the did / how they did so for their audience (we act as editors)
Historical Criticism - tries to discover the historical culture, peoples, and etc. of the biblical text
Textual Criticism - a process used to find how the various translations of the original biblical text to discover the initial meaning

Exegesis - The process used by an individual to interpret or understand of the biblical text. Information exits the bible.
Eisegesis - using biblical text to help fix your own needs; interpret the text to prove a predisposition

Sacred Tradition - the message of the Gospels that is lived and passed down by life, worship and teaching of the Church

Deposit of Faith - The beliefs of the Church that are preserved by the Magisterium.
Magisterium - the official teaching body of the Church; bishops in communion with pope; comes from word "magis" and is inspired by the Holy Spirit
