One solution is to create a house hoodie, because on well being wednesday the jackets we wear are either to formal school ones or athletic teams one, so creating a house hoodie with the student’s name printed on to it could be a nice addition towards the house (the printed name on the hoodie could will also increase house pride & spirit, making people feel more included). Adding on, in the fall and winter when the weather is colder, students might just results to wearing their own jackets which will cover their house shirts, even in the events during colder weathers such as athletics day, glee and swim gala. If there is a house hoodie designed, it not only will keep you warm in colder days but carries the house symbol around all the time. Another solution that corresponds to the problem is to design and create a matching pair of house shorts in a aesthetic (trendy) and gender- neutral way to keep up a consistent appearance for secondary students. I strongly believe that creating these shorts will develop a sense of pride, loyalty, house spirit and recognition towards their house and the school throughout the students, prompting them to engage and participate more during house events such as swim gala, athletics day and other events where more introverted students tend to feel left out in contrast to the hype and excited house obsessed students. Adding on, as the shorts I design will be gender neutral and made after creating a survey for both genders to see what type of ‘trend’ they follow and generalize it, resulting in most students feeling comfortable in wearing these shorts around instead of complaining that it's too much designed for the other gender. The pictures on the side are some examples I brainstormed and designed for the final product of house gear.
