DIFINATION- is the infection of the bone, a rare but a serious conditions. bones can became infected in a number of ways: through blood stream, fracture or surgery.
CAUSES- a bacteria called staphylococcus anureus, certain condition like diabetes can increase risk of getting infected.
RISK FACTORS- diabetes, sickle cell anemia, HIV,long term use of steroids,hemodialysis, rheumatoid fever
SYMPTOMS- fever, irritability, nausea, swelling around the affected bone, lost range of motion, redness and warmth around the affected area
TREATMENT- antibiotics and surgery.

DEFINITION- is the inflammation of the joints, it can affect one joint or multiple joints.most common types are osteoarthritis and rheumatic arthritis
CAUSES- a reduction in the amount of bone cartilage, immune system attacks body tissues.
SYMPTOMS-joint pain, stiffness, and swelling, slightly fever, tiredness and anemic
TREATMENT- medication which is analgesia, non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, immunosuppressants, menthol creams, surgery to replace joint and physical therapy.
NURSING MANAGEMENT- encourage regular exersice, weight loss programme, patient to avoid fried, dairy and processed food

RISK FACTORS- age, trauma, obesity, degenarative joint disease and congenital joint disorder.
NURSING MANAGEMENT- give prescribed analgesia, monitor vital signs and bleeding on the site of the operation,and maintain bed rest.
COMPLICATIONS- infection in the joint, pain from slippage, a blood clot in the vein,
