TYPES OF ABORTION
Pathophysiology
there must be uterus contraction for an abortion to occur. contractions may follow a stimulus, that is a blow to the abdomen or contractions may start on their own as with spontaneous abortion
it may be described as menstrual cramps. blood may gush or ooze depending on the progress of condition
through all this the cervix may remain closed leading to threatening abortion and when vaginal bleeding increases and uterine contraction strengthen and cervix becomes soft there is also progressive dilatation abortion is inevirtable. should the foetus, membranes and placenta be expelled, abortion is said to be complete

Types
Threatened abortion- is when there is slight bleeding during the course of pregnancy with or without uterine contraction or pain
inevertible abortion- characterised by heavy vaginal intra-pregnancy bleeding with uterine contraction and progressive cervical dilation to become a complete or incomplete abortion
missed abortion- foetus dies and remains in the uterus for some time before it is noticed or diagnosed
