IGA

Survey people on their habits and how many electronics they have lying around the house and how many they have disposed of incorrectly

In Barwon Heads (just passed Geelong) they have an IGA that has a battery collection tub that you can put your batteries in when you enter

Survey people to see what locations in the school they past the most

These results will show me where positioning collection tubs would be most effective

using their responses I could see if the companies would be interested in having e-waste collection tubs in their stores and I could collect them at the end of each week

To see what I need to inform people on and make people aware of

Woolworths stores usually have donation stations for doctor research so it would seem normal if the stores had e-waste recycling tubs

These posters would supply information that tells them what they don't know (I would find this out from the surveys)

Actions

Collecting batteries at school by having a tub ideally situated in the T-Bar and I could drop it off at Battery world (if I send them a letter) whenever it gets full

Something similar would be to collect batteries in the tubs but at local supermarkets in Stonnington.

see if places that collect e-waste have volunteer opportunities and I could volunteer to collect used batteries from other people (family, friends etc)

Contact the environment department of the state or federal government to see if I can get the tubs all over Melbourne

What are the recycling tubs made from?

Where can I buy them from?
