Learning Styles/ Levels
When:
September- December 2018 (continuing)
During my practicum between the months of September to December, I will increase student engagement by using a learning styles inventory with every student in both of my physical education classes. I will research techniques and strategies to engage different learning styles/levels.
How will this strategy be measured?
This strategy will be measured by student participation and satisfaction while in class through student and teacher observation as well as reflection to document levels of engagement in the gymnasium.
Journaling- Reflective Practice
When:
September- December 2018 (continuing)
During my practicum between the months of September and December, I will continue to develop as a young growing teacher and increase my abilities by reflecting on my practice each day. It is important to keep an inventory or your practice over a specific amount of time to track progress and to grow on weaknesses in your teaching.
How will this strategy be measured?
This strategy will be measured by co-workers, students and administrative staff. It is important to hold colleagues accountable for goals set for the future, in which I will allow others access to my journal to make sure I have reflected after each day between the months of September and December.
Student Engagement
When:
September- December 2018 (continuing)
During my practicum between September to December, I will improve my ability to engage students in their learning by attending and implementing strategies for engaging students in regorous learning and refining my use of student involved formative assessment practices.
How will this strategy be measured?
This will be measured through pre and post assessment in the gymnasium peer and principal observation and conferences that allow for self reflection.

Goal Outcomes
Did I meet the goals set for myself?
In December, I will take an inventory of my professional growth plan to see if I have met the goals set for myself. This step is very important in my professional growth plan because it allows myself to reflect one last time to see if my goals were met.
