A cause that may lead to an event, which will lead to an effect.
If the event is negative, the effect is adverse.
A positive event may be viewed as an opportunity.
An event that should it occur will have an effect on the successful achievement of the project objectives.
Risk plan - written during DEFINITION phase probably by PM but in larger organisations, a Risk Manager.
1 Initiate. (only at beginning of Project Lifecycle - DEFINITION phase)
4 Plan resources.
5 Impact review.
PIG - Probability Impact Grid.
A 5x5 grid with P and I on each axis... Watch for Knightian (1921) misunderstandings between common cause and special cause...
Two kinds of issues: Formal and informal. Issue is a problem the PM can't resolve. An issue is happening. (A risk has yet to happen).
