Defination
Uterine fibroids non-cancerous growth of the uterus that often appear during childbirth years. Fibroids range in size from seedling undetectable by the human eye,to bulky masses that can distort and enlarge the uterus .

Risk factors

Race black women are more likely to have fibroids than women of other racial at younger ages (black women)
Complications

In pregnant can lead to increased risk of certain pregnancy complication such as placental abruptio, fatal growth restriction and preterm delivery
Prevention
Prevention of uterine fibroids may not be possible. Small percentage or these tumours requires treatment but by making healthy lifestyles,choices such as maintaining a normal weight and eating fruits and Vegas you may able to decrease fibroids.
Medication
Targets hormones that regulate menstrual cycle, treating symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding and pelvic pressure they don't eliminate fibroids, but shrink them.include Gonado-Trophine releasing hormone agonist and progestin-releasing intrauterine device and Tranexamic acid (Lysteda).

Defination
