Mid & Hind Brain

Eg: beating of the heart, digestion, salivation, blood pressure, vomiting
Medulla in the hind-brain controls salivation, blood pressure, vomiting
Cerebellum of the hind-brain is responsible for precision of voluntary action and maintaining balance & posture of the body
Eg: walking in a straight line, riding a bicycle, holding a pencil

Action by Nervous Tissue
Nervous tissue collects info --> sends it to the brain --> info is processed --> decision is conveyed to muscles for action

Fore Brain

Separate areas of the fore brain are specialised for hearing, smell, sight etc
The sensory information is interpreted by putting it together with information from other receptors along with information already stored in the brain

This information is passed on to motor nerves that control movement of voluntary muscles, eg: leg muscle
The sensation of fullness is distinct from seeing, hearing etc
There is a separate part of the forebrain, a centre associated with hunger that gives the sensation of feeling full
