In New Zealand, not many people own guns. And those guns are for hunting. a tiny amount of gun owners own military or police rifles, shotguns, handguns, and LMGs.
In the USA, There is a law in many states called The Second Amendment, this is the right to bear arms. The US is one of 3 countries that allow citizens to easily purchase military and police firearms. These countries are the USA, Mexico, and Guatemala. In all other countries, there is no constitutional right to bear arms.

In New Zealand, many people get robbed, mugged and injured by thugs roaming the streets. Many dairies and liquor stores get broken into, and the owners are intimidated, hurt, and sometimes even murdered just so these thugs can make some money off of stealing various items.
