Waves
Erode coasts, transport and deposit sediments.

Different types of waves
Constructive waves
-
Lower wave height, longer wave length

Destructive waves

Coastal deposit process
When waves breaks at the coast, energy is lost and deposition occurs. Large sediments are deposited first, followed by smaller sediments.
Exposed coasts have coarse (rocky) sediments as waves have higher energy to remove the finer sediments. (waves usually cannot remove large sediments).
