Alzheimer's itself and the connection to long-term memory loss
I really liked this website, since it was dedicated to the human brain (especially how memory works), and it has a lot of other cool facts and interesting information. You should check it out.

I found a few websites that have helped me learn more about Alzheimer's itself and the connection to long-term memory loss. One website basically said that although there is a debate as to whether we actually lose the information we receive, forgetting long-term memories is what happens when synaptic connections become weakened or a new neural network is superimposed over an older network, as if it's blocking the memories from presenting themselves.
