GLOBAL SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT INTERNATIONAL DVLPMENT STUDIES
WHY
i can't just do nothing
need to act to knnow that I would have done my part to ensure the sustainable living of the human race on earth
I'm firstly interested in the environmental side of SD, but I want to study the whole sd because I understand that environmental sustainability is only a part that is deeply connected with social and economics. I want to fully understand the stakes of our lifetime to be able to play my role in it.
I see the problems our world faces, from human rights issues to environmental dilemnas, and it outrages me. But all over the world I see solutions and hope, I see actions against water waste or contamination, policies and speeches that inspire me, I want to be a part of this movement, a part of this cange of behaviour. I want to vehiculate de same hope and I want to act.
I'm also interested in the developing world because they need to learn from our models, they can't repeat our mistakes, furthemore, our whole world but especially developing countries are a field of innovations and ideas to ensure sustainability that I find very interesting.
volunteering experiences
About my experiences in the field of sustainable development, I really liked to be a part of a local association named Frat Intercontinentale. We gathered paper to be recycled, and the money out of this paper was donated to developing countries...and I discovered ecology in a business in a camping I worked, it spread easy sustainable acts such as not using plastic straws or cooking with local and organic products, I lliked the fact tht these actions could inspire every client.
I want to study GSD because I'm very interested in global issues from environmental dilemnas to human rights question. I love this interdependance between environmental, economics and social side of the development, and the fact that it's legitimit as a local scale to a wider one.
