usually involves auxillae, neck folds, nappy area - lesions spread rapidly

common contagious pyogenic infection of superficial layers of skin, usually caused by Staphylococcus aureus and less commonly by streptococcus pyogenes

patients should stay away from work or school until lesions are dry and scabbed over or 48 hours after antibiotics
