Use of something in a way that's not intended

They have had the same meanings over time
Ex. Autumn is symbolic of aging
All seasons have their own emotions
References to seasons can be subtle
The blind character
Ex. Tiresias (Oedipus Rex)
Sees things spiritually
Everything the character does has to reflect their lack of sight
Heart trouble
One of the most common type of deaths in literature
Can be used as a social metaphor
Don't be surprised if a character with preexisting problems has a major problems

Introduce something before you need it if it's important

The idea of bindness
May not be hinted
A thing being blind may not be literal
