Environmental Effects of Nutritional Management on Cattle Manure…
-
These sources compliment each other in a way where they provide insight in what factors can contribute to the nutritional management systems and its effect on the environment. They both seem to advocate for the management and additional info in what positive effects it has on the environment and the difference in the animal waste output.
Both of these sources do agree the beneficial use of nutritional management systems, but one focuses on the reproductive aspect while the other focuses on the environmental impact. However, the reproductive node shows that there are some negative side effects that could potentially happen to the animals while the environmental node does specify any negative effects.
While one provides a brief introduction about the nutrient management systems for farms, the "Strategic nutritional management for organic livestock and poultry farming" article provides a more detail information of what can be fed to cattle and how it has a better effect on the environment.
The orange node is an academic article that studies the effects of nitrogen and phosphorus use and effects on the environment from dairy cows. Both articles explain the positive effects of the management system and how N and P waste are minimized, but the orange node interprets the data from the intensification level of the animal farm.
These two articles have an opposing statement on how the N content differs. The orange node explains that the level of nitrogen drops but does not consider the calf's waste content, while the yellow node explains that the calf has a higher N waste production before it hits adulthood.
