• Chris finds the letters and feels sick because Judy abandoned him, and at the same time, Ed tried to prevent any contact between Chris and his mother
• Chris feels alone in a bustling city, abandoning his home to try and find a loving relationship with his mother, which he lacked with his father at that time
• Trust is vital between Chris and Ed for there to be a stable relationship, trustworthiness is Chris' love language
• Chris loves animals and is able to touch them, although he hates touching people. When he finds Wellington, he cradles him close and shows his love for animals. His passion for animals and puzzles drives him to solve the mystery, and sets the scene for Chris' endless discoveries to unfold.
