Modifying Comparatives: Very, much, a lot of or far are used to modify comparative adjectives.
Comparative and Superlative: Comparative is used to compare one-one,
we use "er" and than.
Superlative is used to compare 1 to a group, we use the and "est"
Making comparisons with as...as: Is used to say that two parts of a comparison are equal. as+adjective+as

Using by phrase: Is used in sentences when is important to know who performs the action. Usually there is not-by phrase in passive sentences.

verb is followed by an object. An intransive verbs is not followed by an object.
