Main issues involved in English pronunciation
Thought groups
generally represent a meaningful grammatical unit.
i,e it is important to create awareness about taking pauses when speaking and that if you do, that do not mean you are not being fluent
Prominence
is basically the sentence focus or tonic syllable. Where you stress a word and it completely changes the meaning of a sentence.
i.e I need YOU (you are the one I need)
Intonation
by rising or falling your pitch and forming a melodic pattern.
i.e when you ask a question, you should use a higher pitch at the end of the question
Rhythm
is created by a combination of stressed and unstressed syllables.
the rhythm can change the meaning of a word
Word stress
one syllable receives the most prominent stress

Connected speech
is when a variety of modifications occur that make the boundaries between words appear blurred
i.e. it is when you join some sounds at the end and at the beginning of a word to avoid say it twice
Consonants
are characterized by movement of the organs of speech and different blockages to the flow of air
i.e the articulation and voicing are important to create the correct sound
Vowels
iand its production involves a movement of the tongue and jaw, a certain degree of lip rounding and a degree of tension of the muscles
