        Advertising is more Activation and very few companies who are purely advertising, roles are Digital Marketing and Advertising
        
        PR more communications and publications, Press Release and Articles - really need to be story telling and find angles doe stories - I think more into Advertising and DM
        
        ADAPT: Great you have the skills but how do you apply that in this Job e.g. you have X Client you could do this.. here is I think how..

        26/7/2018 Event hugely successful met MD of Verve, Ronan Traynor John Killcullen, the creative Director John O' Shaughnessy, Business Director Darren Buttle and Cathal O Reilly Senior accounts manager who recommended disrupted My Misadventure in the start up bubble, I recommend Mark Earls Copy Copy Copy and Decoded by Phil Barden :checkered_flag:
        
        My objective primarily was to network, I didn’t want to quiz people at the event. I wanted to absorb as much as I could without the added stress of taking notes or asking structured questions which would be out of context and feel unnatural, I felt it wasn’t the time or place. My plan was to make contact after the event via LinkedIn. On reflection I really think this was the right move. I was relaxed and confident and able to focus on the moment and talk about arranging an interview.

        John asked me to call into the agency. -few days passed before I could respond. I explained I was in Cork and could we do a call instead. I didn't hear back
        
        John O' Shaughnessy Also offered to ask Art Director and Copy right director if they would be willing to be interviews
      - Booked 26th off work for open doors

        NOTES: Interested in the integrations side of things how everything joins up and connects how do you know or why is that Add on that big outdoor bill board and how do you also know it is in a magazine. Meabh had no idea that agencies were a thing! They weren’t thought that they existed. Degree she did a four month work placement. Clock work management that do all of the sponsorship. They organise all of the sponsorship for deiago, sponosring GGA to puk fair.
        
        Marketing Landscape -buzz term used getting into the work place and figuring out what it is all about. Marketing is such a broad term and covers so many jobs and advertising is the same you can go from anything like being a brand manager to a tech evangelist. There is a lot you can learn that is transferable you can have one role in one agency and a lot of people move, change and switch roles in areas that they want to concentrate on. Everything is transferable and knowledge based. She has moved massively in her career what she was doing ten years ago vs today and that what is nice about Marketing. A lot of people move from agency to google to Facebook then back to an agency and then go into brand management. There are lots of agencies you can go around to and see what suits you.
