Circulatory system. aka cardiovascular system
Blood
Blood lots when exposed to air.
Damaged tissues and platelets releases an enzyme.
Thrombokinase converts prothronbin to thrombin.
Thrombokinase, is thrombin converts soluble fibrinogen to insoluble to insoluble fibrin threads which entangle blood cells and form a clot.
Antibodies land to bacteria and cause their surface membrane to rupture.
Roxin produced by bacteria are toxin by antibodies.
4 types of cells , Plasma , Red blood cells,White blood cells,Platlets.
Heart
1) The atria contract ,forcing blood into the relaxed ventricles.
2) After a short pause , the ventricles contracts. The semi lunar valves open.Blood flows from the right ventricle and left ventricle into the pulmonary arch and aortic arch respectively.
3) As the ventricles contracts. the atria relax. The right atrium received blood from the venae cavae while the left atrium receives blood from the pulmonary veins.
4) The ventricles than relax.the atrio-ventricular valves also open and blood flows from the atria into the ventricles.
The atria contract again and the whole cycle repeats.
Blood vessele
Artery
Carries blood away from the heart.
Capillary
Allows exchange of materials between blood and tissues.
Vein
Carries blood towards the heart.
Valves
The heart has 4 valves: The mitral valve and tricuspid valve, which control blood flow from the atria to the ventricles. The aortic valve and pulmonary valve, which control blood flow out of the ventricles.
