When an adverb Clause goes before the main clause a comma needs to be used or placed before, and if the main clause goes before the adverb clause theres no comma need it.

Cause and Effect
: Because, now that, since.
Condition
: It, Unless, Only of, Whether or not, Even if, In case.

Direct Contrast
: While.
Shortened If Clauses
: When if-clause refers to the idea in the sentence inmediately before it, it is sometimes shortened:

Using Whether or not and even if
: Whether or not expresses the idea that neither this condition nor that conditions matters.
Examples
: I´m going to the park tomorrow whether or not rains.
Sentences with even if are close in meaning to tose with whether or not. Even if gives the idea that a particular condition does not matter.
Adverb Clauses of Condition.
