- - - - I use the question option on classroom often to start a class discussion. I think it's great especially for students who are a bit more quiet in class because they still share their ideas and everyone else can read what they have to say. Since this is shared with their peers they hold themselves more accountable than if they just turned it in. I have also used Classroom for their center work and I created a topic for each novel's center work that they can easily access. That way I have all of it in one place.
    - - Using Docs for final writing pieces or forms for vocabulary assessments is another feature that I have used, but our school uses standards based grading and all of our grades need to be moved onto another website so do use Classroom for final novel tests, writing pieces, and projects, but our cycle assessments are on Mastery Connect which is outside of Google.
- - - - Using forms as an assessment has been a great quick way to see what my students need. I also taught them how to create an assessment on Forms so they can quiz each other or create surveys. They used this during Lit Circles to quiz their peers on what they read, they also used this after presentations to receive feedback and see what other students learned. I also think the addition of locked quizzes will be beneficial.
    - - Organizing in classroom using Topics has allowed me to go back and check work by each Novel or concept we worked on throughout the year. I can also go back the following year and see what we did and how students responded so make effective changes for the upcoming year.
